Maghull Parish Handbell ringers are holding a summer concert with Yooks! Ukulele Band.
The concert will take place in Maghull Parish Hall on Saturday 23rd July from7pm.

Handbell Ringers in Buxton appeal for new ringers
Handbell ringers appeal for new ringers
Burbage Handbell Ringers, who are linked with Christchurch, Burbage, Buxton are appealing for more ringers. Unfortunately, during Covid lockdowns their numbers have dropped. This means they are unable to continue to play the music they did pre-pandemic. The team’s history goes back more than a century. The tower bell ringers bought a set of handbells to practice with when they couldn’t use the big bells. Now they are mostly used for tune ringing including classic and traditional songs and carols.
In the past they have played at Chatsworth House, Buxton Community School and Burbage Harvest Festival.
New ringers do not need to be able to read music but should be available for practice for two hours each week. Anyone who is interested in joining the team should ring 07967106297
AGM Calling Notice 2022
HRGB Northwest Region AGM 2022 -
Saturday 7th May 2022
The 2022 AGM of the North West Region, will be held on Saturday, 7th May at Halton, near Lancaster.
The Committee has decided to hold a face-to-face AGM this year, but we will not combine it with any ringing activities;
it will be purely a business meeting.
Perhaps next year, we will go back to our pre-Covid practice of combining the AGM with a regional event.

Virtually Christmas in September – Saturday 11th September 2021 2-4pm
2021 has the potential to be a busy Christmas for teams as group gatherings return. We want to help kick start your personal ringing and team rehearsals with some joyous virtual ringing of Christmas music.
Lead by Kate Sawallisch and Robert Willis, this 2 hour virtual session will work through a couple of Christmas pieces that can then be used by you and, potentially, your teams this festive season. Music will be provided to attendees ahead of the session.
While having bells is an advantage, any item can be used to get those ringing muscles working. We have had spoons, vegetables and even Welsh Dragons in previous sessions! The music is accessible to most skill levels (and we cannot hear any wrong notes anyway!)

After 15 months off it was good to be resuming practices again.
Our only possible appearance this year will be at a
Christmas concert so we eased ourselves back in with some "simple"
Swing music to see what we could remember.
We are not sure how long these accessories will be part of our uniform.
